REL and EGL hosted the Joint Donor site mission in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Rwanda, from 20 to 25 March 2023. The mission aimed at reviewing the progress of the Ruzizi III Regional Hydroelectric Project and discussing options on how to fast-track its implementation.
The Director General of Energie des Grands Lacs (EGL), Mr. Charles Vumbi Mbenga, and REL Project Director, Mr. Luciano Canale commended all Donors’ efforts to support the Project.
All stakeholders noted the importance of the Project and agreed on the next project development steps.
