On 13 June 2023, REL successfully delivered construction material supplies to the Governor of South Kivu Province, Mr. Théo Ngwabije Kasi. The contribution made will be used to build some of the one hundred needed houses for people affected by natural disasters in the Kalehe territory.  

Furthermore, in Rwanda, REL extended its support through the Ministry in Charge of Emergency Management (MINEMA) by providing a financial donation to facilitate response and recovery efforts.  

These initiatives were carried out in line with the continued efforts to aid the communities impacted by landslides caused by heavy pouring in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kalehe territory, specifically in the villages of Bushushu and Nyamukubi, South Kivu Province as well as in Rwanda's Northern, Western, and Southern Provinces.
